I have something to say to you.
You've made my day.
Correction--you've made my year.
I won't go into desperate cliches, like
"I'm lost without you."
That's a sign of co-dependence.
But I can honestly say
I'm better with you.

Home is where the heart is. Home is California for me. Even though I was born in Mexico, and that in a sense is "home" too (my mom calls Mexico "home"), California is where I grew up, and what I'll always remember as home.
Things that are homey are comforting. Really, home is where my family is. Even if they move, where they are, my heart is also.

Fiction. Not true, not real.
But is that really the case? Doesn't fiction give us a glimpse into realities that reflect the world we live in? Doesn't fiction make us realize truths that non-fiction can't?
If there were only non-fiction, the world would be less rich for it. We wouldn't be able to take journeys into pasts and futures previously unknown to us.

Ever after. After the end of the story. Happily ever after, after the prince comes and whisks me away. We were born in the wrong time, the age of chivalry is gone, but somehow we found each other. He kisses my hand and calls me m'lady, what more could I ask for? After the fact--opinion, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. After noon, after the bells of St. Mary's ring. After death. After life.

Half a person. Half a life. Half--incomplete, grotesque. A torso without a head. Half-.com. Half-price, half-baked. Not quite there. Not quite whole. Not quite healthy. Half. Not quite whole. Not quite sane.

maruchina belle different from the rest
Your love is like a worm.
It bends, it folds, it turns.
I see each crease inside you
I won't deny you.

Gah, I can't do this anymore.

purple rose
I know what's best for me. You don't know anything about me.
You don't know me, and you don't know what I should do with my life. So bug off.
My child, I do know what's best for you. You need to make your own decisions. But I am here to help.
Why should I accept your help? You're old, and you don' tknow what it's like to be young today. It's a completely different world.
Some things are timeless.
Some things aren't.

[info]kimpu reminded me of my weird dream. (Not in any direct way, but because she had a weird dream, too.)
I dreamed that there was some sort of raffle thing for the Integral WAltz. I was going to pay a lot of money for it, since the tickets were going to be about eighty dollars, but I decided to pay only like, ten dollars' worth instead. That was at the end of my dreams.
Near the beginning, Alicia and Melissa had a bunch of people in our room, which was much, much bigger than usual. alicia had her whole soccer team there, or something. Cetin was there, too. At one point he rolled his eyes back, drooled, and started mumbling or something. Someone attributed it to mental illness or something.
Later on, I was in a game remarkably like Kingdom Hearts, but all my friends and enemies were my classmates and friends. I remember Gabe was a really good "friend" and defended me. Most of my enemies were anonymous classmates and such, I don't remember who they were. I remember that people would drop swords and stuff, and I was supposed to pick them up. When I picked up a sword by the wrong end, my hands would get cut, and it hurt. It's weird how I can feel actual pain in dreams most of the time. Anyway, I would slash and slash my enemies until they died (nothing gory or graphic, they just sort of flashed and disappeared, I think), and have to duck their fireballs and stuff so I wouldn't die. I remember there being "strategy" where me and the "leader" of the opponents (there were like, two "teams," and we wore different colored shirts to distinguish each other) had to put a shape representing our strategies on the blackboard. At one point Cetin came, but he had been transmogrified into this slinky lizard-like monster (sort of like a Chinese dragon) by a nuclear explosion back at Alicia's room. Everyone had escaped except him, and he had been accidentally left there. (Poor Cetin!) There was some sort of rainbow tree involved later, or something, and St. Mary's was involved later (blends in with the raffle thing). I remember we got "out of bounds" of the game. Later on in the game, I had to avoid little potholes that spouted up fire (like the Mario game I saw played in Pablo's room that one night). I wasn't very good at that part though.

"Ssh, someone will see us," said Christine.
She ducked under the seats, asking the various theater-goers if they knew where the restroom was. She screamed when someone swiped at her--a cat-person of some sort, hiding in the audience and scaring the bejeezus of anyone who rubbed him the wrong way.
The opera-house became a nightmare, with the chandeliers flickering in the newly-formed darkness. "Raoul!" cried Christine. "Oh, Raoul...."
"The hiiills are alive... with the sound of muuusic..." Raoul was standing in the middle of the stage, singing with a large grin on his face.
Christine blinked. "Raoul?"
"With songs they have sung... for a thousand yeeeears!"
Oh, no, Christine thought. Not only am I going crazy, but Raoul... She looked at Raoul. He was doing the Moonwalk. She wasn't even sure what the Moonwalk was. But she recognized it when she saw it.
